A model could stay on sale for 2 to 3 years.
It all depended on whether the model was selling well and was still "as up to date" as the competition.
So, the local companies added a Code Name to distinguish what model it was.
In the case of this 2000 Holden, can I ask you to add VT to the description.
The VT Holden was on sale from 1997 to 2000. "
